ABOUT K2 ELECTRIC
Founded in 1999 by Jesse Keller and Scott Kilburn, K2 Electric Ltd. began as a small, locally owned electrical contracting company based in Prince George, British Columbia. Built on a strong foundation of integrity, technical expertise, and hard work, the company quickly grew in both reputation and capability, earning the trust of clients across Western Canada.
K2’s roots are firmly planted in the wood products industry. For many years, our primary client base consisted of sawmills and lumber facilities, where we became known for our ability to deliver high-quality, turnkey electrical services in demanding industrial environments. From new builds and retrofits to upgrades and maintenance, K2 supported the infrastructure that powered a major part of British Columbia’s economy. Our deep understanding of these complex facilities, combined with responsive service and a hands-on approach, helped us become a trusted partner across the forest sector.
As the province’s economic landscape began to shift, so too did K2’s focus. Over the past decade, we have expanded and aligned our service offerings to support the evolving needs of BC’s power and utility sectors. Today, our team is actively engaged in some of the most critical infrastructure projects in the province, including high-voltage substation and transmission work, power generation facilities, and large-scale municipal infrastructure projects.

Since 2016, we have successfully completed over a hundred projects for BC Hydro, generating station construction and maintenance projects, to substation builds, while maintaining a strong safety record and consistently exceeding client expectations. Our experience also extends to water treatment plants, pumping stations, and other essential infrastructure that keeps communities running safely and efficiently.
By integrating our electrical, civil, and high-voltage scopes under one operational umbrella, we are able to streamline project delivery, minimize dependencies on external subcontractors, and maintain full accountability from pre-construction through to commissioning. This alignment supports our commitment to operational excellence across every job we undertake.
At the heart of K2’s continued success is our team. Many of our project managers, supervisors, and crew members have been with the company for more than two decades.
