K2 Electric completed a comprehensive electrical installation for the Asset Protection System at Tolko’s High Level facility, covering both new and existing buildings. The scope included installation of multiple MCCs, soft starters, a capacitor bank, and transformers, all within areas classified as hazardous (Class 2 Zone 22). Our team routed and terminated extensive feeder cabling, coordinated tray and conduit systems, and integrated HVAC connections for multiple makeup air units, remote air conditioners, and condenser units.

The project also included camera systems, carbon monoxide detectors, and a new fire alarm system tied into Tolko’s annunciator network. K2 installed the Allied Blower Dust Collection controls package, including power and control cables, start-stop stations, proximity switches, and test circuits for all conveyors. Additional work involved Power over Ethernet (PoE) installations, UPS setup, heat trace systems, and firestopping of all electrical penetrations using FM-approved products. With significant coordination across disciplines, our team delivered a fully integrated, code-compliant protection system that enhances operational safety and system resilience.
